Platform Technology
Our technology is based on a broadly applicable platform that can be applied to nearly every mineral for specific detection. HyperGOLD is a first application and is specifically geared towards the detection of gold particles in granular form (river sediments, till samples etc.).
Field Portable Rapid Gold Grade Determination
Advanced Technologies for gold detection can reduce the time and resources necessary to generate go / no-go decisions for exploration and production. The HyperGOLD detection system is a robust, mobile solution providing instant quantitative results at the exploration/production site. It is not meant to replace the conventional fire assay as an industry standard but can provide early feedback for rapid go/no-go decisions in exploration and production and triaging of sample programs.
Key Features
The technology is non-destructive, does not require expert personnel or the use of harmful substances and is low-cost. Key features include:
data outputs include gold particle count, size, weight and shape
reliable detection of particles as small as 0.05mm (50 microns)
multiple applications for gravity concentrates of granular samples in size ranges of less than 1,000 microns from various sources *
large numbers of materials have been tested and the technology is specific for gold (even in challenging backgrounds that include pyrite or mica)
hundreds of samples can be processed per day **
samples can be reused for further analysis and/or archived
portable unit weighs about 10kg and can easily be operated at a field camp (together with a laptop)
Source materials can include stream, lake, ocean and beach sediments, crushed rock samples from pick samples and drill cores, crushed ore in processing plants, placer mining samples or wash plants with gold bearing sand
